The TON Foundation has announced the latest grant recipients for March and April 2024, highlighting its commitment to supporting innovative Web3 projects. The 14 teams selected showcase various applications, from social Web3 use cases and games to DeFi and other valuable tools designed to enhance the TON ecosystem. With a focus on building Telegram Mini Apps featuring social viral elements and easy onboarding, these projects aim to bring half a billion users on-chain by 2028.

GameFi: Engaging and Innovative Gaming Solutions

Games remain a key focus area for the TON Grants Program. Two notable projects have recently received financial backing:

1. Jump Trade: This team is developing three Telegram Mini Apps, including a classic puzzle game, Cards 21, and Basketball Shots. These games feature engaging gameplay, real-time multiplayer, and NFT passes, aiming to onboard a mass audience into Web3.
2. EdChess: Offering a new chess experience that includes education, training, competitions, and skill monetization, EdChess has already attracted over 35,000 unique users.

Onboarding Platforms and Community & Brand Management Tools

These projects are leveraging Telegram’s viral features to onboard users and brands into Web3:

1. XPLUS: Winner of the TON Hacker House 2024, XPLUS is launching an all-in-one entertainment Mini App with token and meme coin trading games, XPLUSMONs, and Shake2Earn Farming. With 1.3 million registered users and 180,000 daily active users, XPLUS is already competing in The Open League.
2. TBook: This platform builds quests for Web3 and Web2 projects to engage communities and will launch its first campaigns soon.
3. vSelf: Providing no-code tokenization and gamification tools for brands, vSelf is preparing a pilot campaign with Assissterr, focusing on quiz and SBT-distribution mechanics.

SocialFi: Enhancing Social Interactions with Financial Opportunities

These projects empower users by integrating financial opportunities into social interactions:

1. Moons.so: A crypto social network offering join-to-earn, engage-to-earn, and quest-to-earn features. Integrated with major TON games, Moons.so has attracted 21,000 users.
2. TELE: Developing a Social infrastructure for deploying tokens and engaging communities. With over 40 tokens launched and 4,000 minters at its peak, TELE is planning to launch a DEX soon.

Defi: Expanding the Financial Landscape on TON

The launch of The Open League has introduced new DeFi products aimed at boosting the TON ecosystem:

1. Thunder Finance: A one-stop yield farming platform on TON, providing updates on farming pools and a points system.
2. United Finance: Soon to launch the wuTON token, offering higher yields compared to liquid staking tokens.
3. Nexton: Building Jito for TON, allowing users to stake TON, receive a Nexton NFT, and benefit from staking and arbitrage yields.

Infrastructure: Robust Solutions for a Growing Ecosystem

With the arrival of USDT on TON and increased interest from other blockchains, reliable infrastructure is crucial:

1. Symbiosis: A decentralized cross-chain protocol connecting TON to 27 chains, enabling seamless asset bridging from EVM to TON.
2. Project KoALA: Developing a bridging solution for seamless interaction across multiple networks without requiring each blockchain’s base token.

Marketplaces: Solving the Classic Two-Sided Market Problem

These projects utilize engaging tools within Telegram to solve the challenges of two-sided marketplaces:

1. MuggleLink: Creating a Fiverr-like platform on Telegram, currently in beta with over 20,000 users.
2. BION: A Web3 shopping app offering cashback in TON, USDt, and BTC, featuring 100+ brands and launching soon.
