A major step forward for the decentralised application platform has been reached with the launch of Chromia’s MVP Mainnet, a Layer-1 relational blockchain platform. The Chromia network’s foundation is laid with the launch of the native CHR coin, paving the way for ecosystem expansion.

The MVP Mainnet launch is a pivotal moment for Chromia, enabling the migration of ERC-20 and BEP-20 CHR tokens to the network. The launch also establishes essential functions including payment of network hosting fees and provider payouts, managed on Chromia’s infrastructure.

With great excitement, Chromia’s co-founder Henrik Hjelte said, “After years of development, we are thrilled to see the concept of relational blockchain become a reality. The MVP Mainnet represents a significant step forward in realising our vision.” “Our journey began twelve years ago with Coloured Coins, the world’s first token protocol,” Hjelte said.

With Chromia’s relational blockchain method, complicated searches and computations are performed more quickly and efficiently by redefining the way data is organised and managed on-chain. This innovation improves overall efficiency and usability by doing away with the requirement for data availability layers and third-party indexing services.

Chromia also presents a novel perspective on blockchain economics. Developers are able to create revenue streams and lease resource containers in their dapps, giving consumers a “gas-free” experience. This simplified method presents new Web3 business models while lowering friction for end users.

“Chromia combines blockchain architecture with ideas from cloud computing and database theory to provide a full spectrum of tools needed to deliver an amazing end-user experience,” said Alex Mizrahi, co-founder of Chromia, highlighting the significance of this launch. Our network’s future expansion and development are paved with this launch, and I can’t wait to see what our technology may be used for by developers.

Chromia’s network activity is expected to gradually increase as ecosystem projects roll out dapps now that the MVP Mainnet is operational. As demand rises, the network will be dynamically expanded to accommodate more dapp clusters, offering a scalable and adaptable infrastructure for future expansion.

Notable gaming projects like My Neighbour Alice and DAR Open Network, as well as newer initiatives like Chain of Alliance and Cloudborn, are all part of Chromia’s ecosystem. The ecosystem is not limited to games; it also includes Fanzeal, a digital sports collectibles solution, and several more third-party initiatives including NFT marketplaces and DeFi protocols.

Future plans for Chromia include bridge infrastructure updates, additional core changes, and the adoption of Native Staking and Delegation by the end of Q3. Through these efforts, the platform’s functionality and performance will be improved, facilitating Web3’s continuous adoption and growth of the platform.

About Chromia

With its modular foundation, Chromia is a Layer-1 relational blockchain platform that offers enhanced digital assets, customisable fee structures, and dedicated dapp chains to empower developers and consumers. In order to create breakthroughs that will streamline the end-user experience and enable new Web3 business models, Chromia challenges the status quo by fundamentally altering the way information is represented on the blockchain. This results in natively queryable data that is indexed in real-time.
