Bitget, a global leader in cryptocurrency trading and Web3 innovation, has partnered with the University of Zurich Blockchain Center to support the 6th edition of its prestigious summer school programme, Deep Dive into Blockchain (DDiB) 2025. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in Bitget’s broader Blockchain4Youth initiative, a $10 million educational campaign aimed at making blockchain education more accessible and inclusive for young talents worldwide.
Supporting One of the World’s Top Blockchain Universities
The University of Zurich, ranked third globally in blockchain education by Coindesk’s 2021/22 rankings, has long been a frontrunner in blockchain research and education. The summer school is hosted by the Faculty of Business, Economics and Informatics in association with the Global Student Experience and spearheaded by the UZH Blockchain Center, under the direction of Professor Dr Claudio J. Tessone.
This three-week programme offers an intensive, interdisciplinary journey into blockchain technology—exploring it through academic, technological, legal and economic lenses. It is designed to bridge the gap between theory and practice, preparing students to navigate and contribute to an increasingly decentralised digital economy.
Bitget Blockchain4Youth Scholarships: Breaking Barriers
As part of this partnership, Bitget will fully fund scholarships for up to 10 deserving students who meet the academic and financial criteria laid out by the University of Zurich. These Blockchain4Youth Scholarships go far beyond covering tuition fees—they include accommodation, local transportation in Zurich, access to academic materials, site visits, and participation in intercultural and networking events.
This initiative is rooted in Bitget’s belief that education is the most powerful tool to democratise innovation. As COO Vugar Usi Zade noted, the scholarships are not just about learning blockchain; they’re about nurturing visionary leaders who can critically assess and build within this rapidly evolving field. He further emphasised the importance of cross-disciplinary education, arguing that future blockchain leaders need to understand not only code or regulations, but also the societal impacts of decentralised technologies.
A New Era of Academic-Industry Collaboration
This partnership is not a one-off sponsorship but a strategic alignment between two organisations committed to responsible innovation. Bitget’s involvement will also include a masterclass by COO Vugar Usi Zade, offering students the rare opportunity to learn directly from a top-level industry practitioner. Such engagements strengthen the bridge between academic rigour and real-world application, allowing students to gain insights that are both technically sound and practically relevant.
Professor Claudio J. Tessone expressed strong support for the initiative, praising Bitget’s role in making high-impact education more accessible. He highlighted that this collaboration is a shared effort to promote diversity, innovation, and global talent in the Web3 space.
Shaping a Global Talent Pipeline in Blockchain
The Deep Dive into Blockchain programme is not just an academic endeavour; it is a launchpad for the next generation of blockchain innovators. By removing financial barriers and offering a rich, interdisciplinary curriculum, this partnership enables students from diverse backgrounds to gain an in-depth understanding of blockchain technology and its potential impact across industries.
Bitget’s commitment to youth empowerment and educational access signals a broader shift in the crypto industry—towards responsible, inclusive development. As the Web3 space matures, such collaborations could play a pivotal role in shaping a workforce that is not only technically adept but also ethically and socially conscious.
