Ava Protocol, an EigenLayer Actively Validated Service (AVS), has been selected to power automation for Sony Block Solution Labs new layer-2 blockchain, Soneium. The partnership was revealed in a recent press release, highlighting Ava Protocol’s role in enhancing Soneium Spark incubation programme for creators and developers.

Event-Driven Automation for Soneium

Ava Protocol will deploy its event-driven automation infrastructure, allowing developers and creators to monetise and manage their work with intent-based, no-code automation. According to Ava Protocol founder Chris Li, this technology surpasses traditional layer-2 solutions by offering lower computation and storage costs, giving users more control over their assets.

“Our technology provides creators and developers with the tools they need to be truly empowered when it comes to their assets,” Li told crypto.news.

Simplified Asset Bridging

Li also addressed the ongoing debate between layer-1 and layer-2 solutions, noting that Ava Protocol’s platform enables users to bridge assets across both layers with a single click. This capability is expected to further solidify Ava Protocol’s position as a leader in smart contract automation on Soneium.

Monetisation of Real-World Assets

Soneium, designed as an open-source, all-purpose blockchain, allows users to tokenize real-world assets, such as art, intellectual property, and physical goods. Ava Protocol’s automation technology will support key features like recurring payments, stop-loss orders, yield harvesting, and NFT updates and minting, creating new opportunities for creators in decentralised marketplaces.

The collaboration marks a significant step in both companies’ efforts to revolutionise the blockchain landscape, empowering creators with advanced tools for asset management and automation.
