Adidas’ Triple Stripes Studio has introduced a digital artist residency program aimed at promoting emerging creators in the nonfungible token (NFT) space. The program, set to run from September 4 to September 11, seeks to collaborate with up-and-coming artists and create opportunities for them to connect with Adidas’ community of collectors.

Adra Kandil, known as Dearnostalgia and Moto, is the first pair of resident artists. The program will commence with the sale of open and limited edition NFT art pieces on September 6. Open edition NFTs will be priced at 0.03 Ether (approximately $49), while limited editions will be available for 0.15 ETH (around $245). This initiative is part of Adidas’ Web3 unit ALTS by Adidas.

Yuga Labs Announces Open Beta for Legends of the Mara
Yuga Labs, the creator of the Bored Ape Yacht Club, has disclosed plans to launch the open beta for Legends of the Mara (LoTM) within the Otherside metaverse later this month. LoTM will expand on Otherside’s storyline by introducing a new antagonist called “The Shattered” and providing additional background on the existing NFT Koda characters. Despite Otherside being a 3D virtual world, LoTM is described as a 2D strategy game centered around collectibles. Users will have the opportunity to utilize their virtual land plots to earn rewards and acquire new NFTs. The game will undergo further development in the upcoming months as it approaches a full release.
