Bybit to Launch PUMP Token Sale on 12 July
Leading crypto exchange Bybit has officially announced it will host the highly anticipated PUMP token sale from 12 to 15 July. The sale will be exclusive to the Bybit platform, with 150 billion tokens — representing 15 percent of the total one trillion supply — available to the public. Each PUMP token will be priced at a fixed rate of 0.004 USDT.
The token sale will go live at 14:00 UTC on 12 July and continue through 15 July, offering users the opportunity to subscribe using USDT, USDC, Solana (SOL), and bbSOL. This flexibility ensures participation from both stablecoin holders and Solana ecosystem users.
European Users Barred from Participation
Despite global interest, users based in Europe will not be able to take part in the token sale. Bybit confirmed that accounts registered under its European Union-regulated domain, Bybit.eu, are barred from participating due to regulatory constraints. The exchange cited the need to comply with the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation, commonly known as MiCA.
The move highlights the growing impact of regional regulations on global crypto activity. MiCA, which seeks to harmonise digital asset rules across EU member states, has introduced strict compliance requirements for crypto service providers operating in the region.
PumpFun’s Rise in the Crypto Ecosystem
Pump.fun, the platform behind the PUMP token, has seen rapid growth since its launch in January 2024. The no-code memecoin launchpad enables users to create and trade tokens on the Solana blockchain without any prior coding knowledge. Its gamified interface and viral mechanics have transformed token creation into an accessible and engaging activity for a broad user base.
The simplicity and entertainment-driven design have helped the platform attract both casual users and serious crypto enthusiasts, creating a wave of on-chain experimentation and community-driven coin launches.
Bybit’s Role and Market Position
Currently ranked as the world’s second-largest crypto exchange by trading volume, Bybit continues to expand its reach in the digital asset sector. Hosting the PUMP token sale further solidifies its position as a key player in facilitating high-profile token launches. The exchange’s support for multiple assets and integration with Solana-native tools makes it a natural fit for the Pump.fun ecosystem.
As memecoins and decentralised experiments continue to gain traction, platforms like Pump.fun and exchanges like Bybit are at the forefront of reshaping how everyday users interact with crypto markets.
